RECOMMENDATIONS for Day Tour

You will need a warm clothing for the mornings.

And comfortable hiking boots or sneakers and then lighter clothing for daytime.

Although the transportation is comfortable, we will be walking on ancient stone paths.

Andean Climate: The valley is temperate, but the afternoon breeze can be cool. Bring a windbreaker.

Don’t forget the sunscreen. The Andean sun is strong. And your hat and sunglasses.

Documentation: It is essential to carry the Cusco Tourist Ticket (Partial or Full) for entry to archaeological sites, passport, and national identity document for Peruvian tourists.

Hydration: Bring your water to stay hydrated during the day.

IMPORTANT:

The Sacred Valley is located at an average altitude of 2800 meters (9200 feet) above sea level (lower than the city of Cusco), which is favourable for acclimatisation. However, the archaeological sites are located on the mountain slopes.

Climate and Safety: The weather is changeable and unpredictable in the Andes. During the rainy season (November to March), stone surfaces can become slippery.

Difficulty Level: The tour is of moderate difficulty. While it does not require high-altitude endurance, it does require physical mobility to ascend and descend steep Inca staircases. It is important to have good  footwear and follow the guide's instructions to ensure your safety.

Note: Weather conditions are beyond our control, but at Trébol Perú Expeditions, we will do our best to offer alternatives and ensure you have the best experience.
